FINDING GLENSHELANE SCOUT CAMPSITE & CABIN
This should help you out and give you a better idea of where we are, for a more detailed map you should pick up the Ordance Survey Ireland Maps No 75, No 74 & No 81 of the Discovery Series.

Route A
Following the N72 from Dungarvan drive into Cappoquin, in Cappoquin turn right onto the R669 out of Cappoquin. Once outside Cappoquin you will see a small Grotto on a Y Junction in the road the R669 going to the Left of the Grotto to Mount Melleray Scout Centre, take the RIGHT fork down less that half a mile where the road turns right straight away after this bend is the Entrance to Glenshelane Woods drive through these gates into the Forest with the river on your right hand side and continue along this forest track for about 2 Miles. Please drive slowly as there may be walkers using this path as well. There are also speed ramps along the route.
Route B
Following the N72 from Dungarvan towards Cappoquinn. At Affane Cross turn Right at the Crossroads, driving up a slight hill taking the first Left Turn Off. Keeping on this road passing through a hard right hand turn going downhill, passing the Public Car Park on your right as the road rounds to the Left watching out for and entrance on your Right as the road rises, this is a gateway with a Height barrier. Following the Entrance to Glenshelane Woods drive through these gates into the Forest with the river on your right hand side and continue along this forest track for about 2 Miles. Please drive slowly as there may be walkers using this path as well. There are also speed ramps along the route.
